Caliper render for this kit:

The W209 CLK was built to cover ground in comfort, and its standard rear brakes were specified for exactly that: a relaxed rear-drive grand tourer, not a car driven hard into the braking zone. Push a CLK 200 Kompressor along a quick B-road or onto a track day and the rear axle is the first place the factory setup runs out of ideas. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mercedes Benz CLK 200 W209 addresses that directly, swapping the rear discs for lighter two-piece floating rotors and adding a multi-piston caliper with a proper pad choice.
This is a rear-axle upgrade, so it works on brake balance rather than outright front stopping power. On a rear-wheel-drive coupe like the W209, sorting the rear gives you a more stable, predictable car under trail-braking and repeated stops, which is where the standard CLK 200 brakes tend to go soft.
What this brake kit does for your 2003-2009 Mercedes Benz CLK 200 W209
After fitting, the first thing you feel on your 2003-2009 Mercedes Benz CLK 200 W209 is a firmer, more linear pedal: the multi-piston caliper clamps more evenly than the single-piston rear it replaces. The two-piece floating disc trims rotating and unsprung mass at the back axle, which sharpens how quickly the rear responds and eases the load on the suspension. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match rear bite to how you actually use the car, from daily commuting to harder circuit sessions. And because the rear no longer overheats and fades on a long descent or a busy track, brake balance stays consistent when it matters.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The kit centres on a two-piece floating rear disc whose friction ring rides on an alloy bell and runs internal vanes to cut weight while keeping thermal capacity, so it heats and sheds heat more efficiently than a solid equivalent. Paired with a hollow-body forged multi-piston caliper as standard, it gives the W209 a more progressive, fade-resistant rear end than the original equipment. The kit is offered with three pad compounds: Street for road use, Sport for fast-road and mixed driving with occasional track, and Racing for circuit work. Painted calipers come in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for a small upcharge and premium polished-forged or candy finishes, so the kit reads cleanly behind the CLK’s factory or aftermarket wheels. Everything is sized to the rear axle of this chassis rather than adapted from a generic part, which keeps fitment and brake bias correct.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz CLK 200 W209 (2003-2009)
This kit is built for the Mercedes Benz CLK 200 W209 across the 2003-2009 model years, covering the second-generation CLK in CLK 200 form. It fits the rear axle only and is matched to the W209 chassis, so caliper, disc diameter and mounting are specified for this car rather than a universal bracket. Confirm your exact build year before you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
