Caliper render for this kit:

On the twist-beam W177 A-Class, the front-driven A180, A200 and A220 cars that skipped the AMG multi-link rear, braking balance is deliberately weighted towards the front axle. That suits everyday driving, but lean on the brakes through a sequence of corners and the standard rear setup runs out of heat tolerance long before the chassis runs out of grip. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit is built to fix that specific shortfall.
This rear big brake kit pairs lighter hollow-design discs with a fixed performance caliper to restore rear braking capacity on the W177. Supplied as a pair of left and right rear calipers with matched discs, it is aimed at fast-road and track-day drivers who want the rear axle carrying its share under repeated heavy braking, rather than handing everything forward.
What this brake kit does for your 2019-2026 Mercedes Benz A Class W177
Fit this kit and the clearest change is a firmer, more progressive pedal, because the rear discs finally share load the standard arrangement never properly took. The hollow disc design trims rotating and unsprung mass at the rear, which helps the twist-beam axle settle faster over mid-corner bumps. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match bite and heat range to how you actually drive, from the daily commute through fast-road work to back-to-back track sessions. Rear fade backs off, so the front brakes stop doing all the work and the car stays composed when you trail the brakes into a tight entry. The fixed caliper also flexes less than the sliding factory unit, which sharpens the response under your foot.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
XYZ Racing builds this kit around two-piece floating discs of hollow construction, where material is removed inside the disc to shed weight while keeping the swept area needed to shed heat. Less rotating mass at the rear means the brakes and the twist-beam axle react faster, and there is less inertia for the hubs and bearings to fight. Discs are offered drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. The kit mounts a hollow-body performance caliper over the larger disc and runs your choice of pad: Street for refined street use, Sport for harder fast-road work, and Racing for sustained track abuse; a Hollow Racing caliper upgrade rated to 1000C, with no dust cover and a two-year warranty, is offered for serious circuit use. Calipers are finished in the included painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black), a Custom Color matched to any Pantone, or the premium polished and candy ranges, so the upgrade can read boldly through the rear wheels or stay understated. Each kit is specified for the rear axle of the W177 A-Class rather than adapted from another platform.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz A Class W177 (2019-2026)
This kit fits the W177-generation Mercedes Benz A-Class built from 2019 to 2026, specifically the variants running the rear twist-beam suspension rather than the multi-link rear used on the higher-output AMG cars, and ships as a matched pair of rear calipers and discs. It is a rear-axle kit, intended to run alongside your existing or upgraded front brakes. Confirm your car uses the twist-beam rear axle before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
