Caliper render for this kit:

The W176 A-Class carries its mass over the front axle, a transverse-engined hatchback layout that leaves the rear brakes doing comparatively little until you start braking deep into corners or stacking stops on a quick road. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mercedes Benz A Class W176 4 (2013-2018) addresses that imbalance, adding rear stopping capacity and heat tolerance to match harder work at the front.
Hollow disc construction sheds rotating and unsprung mass at the rear corners, and the kit pairs that with a fixed caliper and your choice of pad compound. Supplied as a pair of left and right rear calipers with matched discs, it brings the rear axle’s braking up to the level the front is already working at for fast-road driving or occasional track days in a W176.
What this brake kit does for your 2013-2018 Mercedes Benz A Class W176 4
The first thing you notice after fitting is a firmer, more consistent rear bite under repeated heavy braking, the fade resistance the standard rear setup gives up once it gets hot. The hollow rotors cut unsprung weight at the rear corners, letting the rear dampers settle faster over broken surfaces and sharpening turn-in. Three pad compounds let you match the kit to use: Street for daily running, Sport for spirited road work with a wider heat range, and Racing for circuit sessions where rear bite matters under trail-braking. Included painted caliper colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black), a Custom Color, and the premium polished and candy ranges mean the hardware looks right behind an open wheel. On a front-heavy W176, a stronger rear contribution also steadies the car under braking, easing the nose-dive and front-pad overwork that come with the stock balance.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit is XYZ Racing’s rear-axle upgrade for the W176, built around hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc construction that improves cooling airflow through the rotor while shaving rotating mass. The fixed, hollow-body caliper clamps more evenly than a sliding stock unit, keeping pad wear consistent and pedal feel predictable as temperatures climb, and a Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C with no dust cover and a two-year warranty is offered for serious track use. Discs are offered drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. Buyers configure the kit with one of three pad compounds: a Street compound for road use, a Sport compound for harder fast-road driving, and a Racing compound for track work where the pads need to bite hot and shrug off fade. Caliper finish is selectable across the included painted colours through to a custom Pantone, so the kit can be specified to suit the car. As a rear kit, it is designed to complement front braking and restore balance rather than to work in isolation.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
