Caliper render for this kit:

The GJ-generation Mazda 6 was tuned as a refined long-distance saloon, and its braking bias reflects that. Most of the work happens at the front axle while the rear discs stay deliberately soft. Push that chassis on a fast road or a track day and the back end starts to feel under-served, with the front doing too much and fade creeping in as heat soaks the standard setup. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mazda 6 (ATENZA) 2WD is built to put proper thermal capacity and bite back over the rear axle.
This is a rear-axle kit, a pair of left and right rear calipers with matched discs, so it is designed to work alongside your front braking rather than replace the whole system. The point is balance. On a nose-heavy front-wheel-drive platform, a stronger, more consistent rear contribution steadies the car under hard, repeated braking and gives you a more predictable pedal when the pace climbs.
What this big brake kit does for your 2015-2026 Mazda 6 (ATENZA) 2WD
The most immediate gain is consistency. The hollowed disc design sheds heat faster and carries less rotational mass than the comfort-focused factory rear rotors, so the pedal holds its travel through a sequence of hard stops instead of going long. Three pad compound options, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match the kit to how you actually use the car, from quiet daily commuting through fast-road work to repeat braking zones on a circuit. Because the kit sits on the rear axle of a front-biased Mazda 6, the benefit you feel most is balance: the car settles under trail braking and turns in more cleanly rather than washing wide on a tired front end. Caliper colour choices, with Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black included at no extra cost plus Custom Color and premium finishes, mean the upgrade reads behind the wheels as well as through the pedal.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit takes its name from its hollowed rotor construction, which trims weight from the disc and opens paths for heat to escape. Those are the two things that matter most when a brake is asked to work repeatedly rather than once. It is supplied as a rear-axle package for the 2WD Mazda 6, pairing two-piece floating discs with calipers and a choice of pad friction levels. The Street compound suits owners who want a cleaner, more durable replacement for road use; the Sport compound steps up bite and heat tolerance for fast-road and occasional track work; the Racing compound is aimed at sustained circuit sessions where the rear needs to survive real temperature. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. The hollow-body caliper is standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C, no dust cover and a two-year warranty for hard track use. Colour options span the five included painted finishes through to a custom Pantone request, so the calipers can be specified to suit the car. Across all three pad choices, the design priority is the same: keep the rear axle contributing predictably as temperature rises.
Fitment for the Mazda 6 (ATENZA) 2WD (2015-2026)
This kit is specified for the 2WD Mazda 6, sold as the Atenza in some markets, across the 2015 to 2026 model years. It fits the rear axle only as a matched pair of calipers and discs, and is matched to the front-wheel-drive version of the car, so confirm your Mazda 6 is the 2WD variant rather than an all-wheel-drive model before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
