Caliper render for this kit:

On the GH-generation Mazda 6 (NON MPS), stopping is almost entirely a front-axle affair. As a heavy front-wheel-drive saloon, the factory rear discs were specced to trail the fronts under normal braking, which leaves the back axle short of bite the moment you start asking more of the car. The XYZ Racing rear big brake kit for the Mazda 6 (NON MPS) tackles that imbalance directly, giving the rear axle clamping capacity the standard setup never had.
Think of this as the rear half of a serious braking upgrade for the 2008-2012 Mazda 6, a pair of left and right rear calipers with matched discs. Run alongside a front kit, or matched to uprated front pads, it shifts more of the braking effort rearward so the car settles under heavy deceleration instead of pitching hard onto its nose. Pad compounds run Street, Sport and Racing, so the same hardware suits a daily GH or one that sees regular circuit miles.
What this brake kit does for your 2008-2012 Mazda 6 (NON MPS)
The first thing you notice is pedal consistency. A front-driver like the GH Mazda 6 dumps enormous heat into the front brakes, and a rear axle that carries more of the load eases that burden and pushes back the onset of fade. With the Racing compound fitted, the kit shrugs off repeat heavy stops far better than the original rear discs, which counts on long descents and back-to-back track sessions; the Sport compound covers harder fast-road use; and the Street compound keeps daily manners quiet with low dust. Around town you get a firmer, more progressive pedal and a rear end that stays settled when you trail-brake into a corner. The net result is a Mazda 6 that pulls up shorter and stays composed when you lean on it.
About the rear big brake kit
XYZ Racing builds this as a bolt-on rear upgrade specific to the Mazda 6 (NON MPS), pairing a larger two-piece floating disc and caliper with the pad and finish options owners actually want to specify. Three compounds are on offer: Street for ordinary road use, Sport for a harder road and light-track bias, and Racing for cars driven in anger on circuit. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. The hollow-body caliper is standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C, no dust cover and a two-year warranty for serious track use. It is finished in your choice of the included painted colours, Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, or a custom Pantone, plus premium polished-forged and candy ranges, so it can either match the car or sit discreetly behind a set of wheels. Being a rear-specific kit, it is designed to work with the existing front brakes or a matching front big brake kit, lifting the rear axle’s thermal headroom and clamping force without altering the car’s underlying balance. It mounts to the standard rear axle of the GH Mazda 6.
Fitment for the Mazda 6 (NON MPS) (2008-2012)
This kit fits the GH-generation Mazda 6 (NON MPS) built from 2008 to 2012, the naturally aspirated and diesel models, not the turbocharged MPS, and ships as a matched pair of rear calipers and discs. The NON MPS designation matters here, so confirm your car is the standard variant and that its build year falls inside the 2008-2012 window before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
