Caliper render for this kit:

The Mazda 6 MPS hides a 2.3-litre turbo and an all-wheel-drive system under a plain four-door body, and that torque-split layout is exactly why the rear axle earns its keep once you start using the performance. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mazda 6 MPS addresses the back end specifically, the corner a front-biased saloon owner is most likely to overlook, and the one that decides how settled the car feels on the way into a bend.
This is a rear-axle big brake upgrade, a pair of left and right rear calipers with matched discs, built around the weight and pace the MPS actually carries. It ships with a choice of pad compound, Street, Sport or Racing, so the kit can be matched to how the car is used, from road miles to harder track sessions, rather than forcing one setting on every owner.
What this brake kit does for your 2002-2008 Mazda 6 MPS
Fitted to the rear of a 2002-2008 Mazda 6 MPS, the larger disc and uprated caliper give the back axle more thermal headroom, which is what the standard setup runs short of when a near-1.6-tonne saloon is hauled down from speed repeatedly. You feel it as a firmer, more consistent pedal that does not go long after three or four hard stops in succession. A stronger, more even rear bite also keeps the car stable under heavy braking and takes some load off the front discs that do most of the work on this nose-led platform. The Racing pad option steps up bite and fade resistance for circuit days; the Sport compound covers harder fast-road use with a wider heat range; and the Street compound keeps cold performance and dust sensible for daily driving. Included painted finishes (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black), Custom Color and the premium polished and candy ranges let the kit sit behind the wheels the way you want.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit is a rear-axle big brake package: a larger two-piece floating disc, a matched caliper, and the brackets to mount it all to the Mazda 6 MPS. The hollow disc design sheds rotating and unsprung mass against a comparable solid rotor, which helps the suspension follow the road and cuts the inertia the brake has to manage. Discs are available drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. Three pad compounds are offered: Street for refined road manners and low dust, Sport for harder fast-road use, and Racing for sustained track work. The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C, no dust cover and a two-year warranty for serious circuit use. It comes finished in one of the included painted colours through to a custom Pantone, so the look is a decision rather than an afterthought. The aim is a rear brake that matches the front in capability and gives the AWD chassis a balanced, repeatable stop instead of a back axle that fades first.
Fitment for the Mazda 6 MPS (2002-2008)
This kit fits the rear axle of the Mazda 6 MPS across the 2002-2008 build span and ships as a matched pair of calipers and discs. It is the MPS-specific application, sized to that model’s hubs and rear geometry rather than the standard 6. Check your exact year before ordering to confirm the correct rear fitment.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
