Caliper render for this kit:

On a hard-driven XE10 IS 300 it is the front axle that takes all the attention. The 2JZ-GE sits well forward, the nose carries the weight, and the standard front discs end up doing the lion’s share of the stopping. The rear brakes are comparatively modest, and on circuit or a committed B-road run they wash out into a vague, long pedal well before the front of the car has had enough. The XYZ Racing Hollow rear brake kit for the Lexus IS 300 (XE10, 2000-2005) is built to correct that imbalance at the back.
This is the rear half of a genuine big brake upgrade, sized around the IS 300’s φ190 parking-brake drum so the factory handbrake function is retained rather than sacrificed. Pad compound is your choice across Street, Sport and Racing, which means you can set the rear bias to match how the car is actually driven, from a daily IS 300 to one that sees repeat track sessions.
What this big brake kit does for your 2000-2005 Lexus IS 300
The benefit you feel first is a firmer, more progressive rear pedal that arrives in step with the fronts instead of trailing behind them. On a rear-drive saloon like the IS 300 that matters: a rear axle that bites cleanly steadies the car under trail-braking and keeps the back end honest when you lift mid-corner. The vaned hollow disc sheds rotating and unsprung mass for quicker turn-in, and braided lines firm the pedal by removing OE hose swell. The Racing compound holds its bite through consecutive hard stops where the original rear pads go soft, Sport widens the heat range for fast roads, and Street keeps quiet, low-dust cold-bite manners for daily use. Retaining the φ190 parking-brake drum means your MOT-legal handbrake stays exactly as it should, with no kludged workaround. Painted caliper finishes are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no cost, with a Custom Color and premium options, so the hardware reads correctly behind the wheel spokes.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The Hollow rear kit is a rear-axle-specific big brake package for the XE10 platform, supplied as a matched pair and designed to lift rear braking capacity without losing the integrated parking brake the IS 300 relies on. It uses a two-piece floating disc with a vaned hollow core, drilled or slotted at the same price. The φ190 designation refers to the parking-brake drum diameter, and the kit is engineered around it so the drum-in-hat handbrake carries over. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let the same hardware serve a commuter, a fast-road car or a track day weapon by swapping friction material rather than the whole assembly. The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C and warranted two years for serious track use. Painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged and candy finishes covering the cosmetic side. Because this is the rear element of the system, it is intended to be matched to a corresponding front upgrade so brake balance front and rear stays sensible rather than skewed toward either axle.
Fitment for the Lexus IS 300 (2000-2005)
This kit is specified for the first-generation Lexus IS 300, XE10 chassis, across the 2000 to 2005 model years, in the rear position and supplied as a matched pair. It is built around the φ190 parking-brake drum diameter for this car, so the factory handbrake provision is retained. Confirm your chassis code and parking-brake spec before ordering, then set your pad compound, disc style and caliper colour from the options when you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
