Caliper render for this kit:

The Lexus IS 200 (XE10) built its reputation on a rear-drive layout, near-even weight distribution and a chassis that rotates more freely than its modest power suggests, but the factory rear brakes were never the part owners praised. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit goes straight at that weak point, adding clamping area and a lighter two-piece floating disc to the back axle of a car whose balance depends heavily on how predictably the rear behaves on the way into a corner.
For the 1998-2005 IS 200, this is the rear big brake kit for owners running track days, sustained back-road pace or a deliberately tail-happy setup who have found the standard rears going soft or wooden after a handful of hard stops. It is built around the φ 190 hub configuration so it drops onto the correct rear end without guesswork.
What this brake kit does for your 1998-2005 Lexus IS 200 ( φ 190 ) (XE10)
After fitting, the first thing you notice is a firmer, more consistent rear pedal that holds its bite when the brakes are hot. The vaned hollow disc sheds rotating and unsprung mass at the rear hubs, which sharpens turn-in and helps the IS 200 settle on trail-braking rather than running wide, and braided lines firm the pedal by removing OE hose swell. Three pad compounds let you match the rear bias to how the car is actually used: Street for quiet, low-dust daily commuting, Sport for fast-road and spirited driving with a wider heat range, and Racing for repeat-session circuit work. On a rear-drive platform this matters: a rear axle that retains feel under load gives you the confidence to lean on the brakes deeper into a corner without the back stepping out unexpectedly.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
This is a rear-specific big brake upgrade, not a styling part, supplied as a matched pair. The two-piece floating disc with a vaned hollow core removes material from the rotor without sacrificing the swept braking face, lowering rotating and unsprung mass and aiding heat handling under repeated stops. Disc faces are drilled or slotted at the same price. The kit accepts three pad compounds, Street for road use, Sport for fast-road and spirited driving, and Racing for circuit duty, so the same hardware scales with the build. The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C and warranted two years for serious track use. Painted calipers are offered in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged and candy options, letting the rear setup match the front and the wheel choice. Everything is engineered to bolt to the IS 200 rear end rather than adapted from a generic kit.
Fitment for the Lexus IS 200 ( φ 190 ) (XE10) (1998-2005)
This kit fits the first-generation Lexus IS 200, XE10 chassis, across the full 1998-2005 production span, and is supplied as a matched pair. It is the φ 190 variant, matched to that rear hub and parking-brake configuration. Confirm your chassis code and the φ 190 spec against your car before ordering so the kit lines up with your existing rear hardware, then set your pad compound, disc style and caliper colour from the options when you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
