Caliper render for this kit:

The Kia Soul PS MK2 carries most of its mass over the front axle and brakes accordingly, which leaves the rear discs underworked and the first to feel vague once you start stringing stops together on a fast back road or a downhill run with the family aboard. This XYZ Racing rear brake kit goes straight at that rear axle, replacing the standard setup with a larger, lighter pair of two-piece floating discs designed to keep the back end contributing instead of coasting.
It suits the way these tall, boxy Souls are actually used: a high-roofed compact that hides real kerb weight and a raised centre of gravity, so braking balance matters more here than the upright styling suggests. Get the rear working properly and the whole car settles under pressure.
What this brake kit does for your 2014-2019 Kia SOUL (PS) MK2
The biggest gain is consistency. A bigger rear rotor sheds heat faster, so the pedal stays firm through repeated stops rather than going long when the standard discs start to cook. The hollow-vane disc casting trims rotational and unsprung mass at each rear corner, which helps the rear suspension follow the road and keeps the Soul’s nose-down weight transfer in check. With Racing-compound pads fitted you get sharper initial bite for spirited driving; the Street and Sport compounds keep things quiet and low-dust for the daily commute while stepping up bite when you want it. The caliper sits where you can see it through the wheel, so the finish you pick reads as deliberate rather than aftermarket.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The kit is built around a pair of two-piece floating discs whose hollow-vane casting removes weight from the rotating assembly without giving up swept area. Less rotating mass means the brake heats and cools more evenly and puts less strain on rear wheel bearings and hub over time. It is a rear-axle pair, fitted to complement an uprated front rather than work alone, and it ships with a choice of three pad compounds so the bite can be matched to use: Street for stock-like manners, Sport for a firmer everyday feel, and Racing for hard use. The caliper is hollow-body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for serious use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Painted finishes are no-cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange) finishes, letting Soul owners match or contrast the bodywork. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable at checkout. Everything is sized to the factory rear geometry of this chassis, so the upgrade is about heat management and feel, not a wholesale rethink of the braking system.
Fitment for the Kia SOUL (PS) MK2 (2014-2019)
This kit is cut for the second-generation Soul on the PS chassis code, model years 2014 to 2019, and fits the rear axle as a pair of calipers and discs. Confirm your car is the PS-generation Soul within that year span before ordering, and pair it with a matching front kit if you want balanced braking front to rear.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
