Caliper render for this kit:

The Y33-generation Q45 is a heavy rear-drive flagship, and its factory rear brakes were specified for quiet motorway manners rather than sustained heat. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit for the Infiniti Q45 Y33 (1997-2001) addresses the rear axle directly, swapping the OE setup for a larger, better-ventilated pair of discs and calipers that resist fade when a car of close to 1.8 tonnes is pulled down from speed more than once in quick succession.
Fitted at the rear, it sharpens front-to-rear brake balance and gives the pedal something firm to lean on during fast B-road work or repeated stops. For owners keeping these increasingly scarce VH-powered cruisers on the road, many in the JDM VIP styling tradition, it adds genuine stopping capability without altering the car’s relaxed character.
What this brake kit does for your 1997-2001 Infiniti Q45 Y33
On a saloon this heavy, the rear axle does more braking work than the soft factory pedal suggests, and uprating it pays back in confidence. The larger swept area sheds heat faster, so the pedal stays firm through a sequence of hard stops instead of going long and wooden. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match the rear to how the Q45 is actually used, from town-and-motorway duty to harder fast-road driving and the occasional circuit run. The result is a car that settles more predictably as weight transfers forward, with less rear-end nervousness under braking. Caliper finish is yours to pick, so the upgrade reads as deliberate rather than an aftermarket afterthought.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The kit is XYZ Racing’s bolt-on rear-axle upgrade, built to work behind the existing wheels and with the car’s standard hydraulics. It pairs a pair of larger two-piece floating discs with performance calipers sized for the Q45’s considerable mass, prioritising heat capacity and consistent bite over headline figures, and the hollow-vane rotor castings keep rotating weight in check while the internal vanes pull heat clear. Pad material is chosen at order: the Street compound suits everyday driving, the Sport compound adds bite and heat range for fast-road use, and the Racing compound is aimed at drivers who see sustained high temperatures. The caliper is a hollow-body item as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing version for hard track use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Calipers are painted at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange) finishes for owners who want a statement. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable at checkout. As a rear-specific pair it is designed to complement a front upgrade, restoring proper balance on a platform that leans hard on its nose under braking.
Fitment for the Infiniti Q45 Y33 (1997-2001)
This kit is mapped to the Y33-chassis Infiniti Q45 built from 1997 to 2001 and fits the rear axle as a pair of calipers and discs. Being a rear-position kit, it is best paired with a matching front setup if you want a full-car change in braking balance. Confirm wheel clearance and your chassis code against your own car before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
