Caliper render for this kit:

The FK2 Type R puts all of its turbocharged drive through the front axle, and that nose-led weight bias is exactly why the rear brakes matter more than the spec sheet suggests. On corner entry the rear end goes light, so consistent, predictable rear clamping is what keeps the car rotating cleanly rather than washing wide. This XYZ Racing rear brake kit gives the FK2’s back axle the heat capacity and bite to do that job through a full session.
Built for the 2015-2017 Honda Civic FK2 Type R, the kit is a pair of rear calipers and discs, left and right, pairing a larger two-piece floating disc with a fixed caliper and a choice of pad compound, so rear braking can be matched to how the car is actually used. It is a rear-axle upgrade aimed at the owner who has already felt the standard setup go soft on a long track day or a quick descent down a favourite B-road.
What this brake kit does for your 2015-2017 Honda Civic FK2 Type R
The bigger rear rotor adds thermal mass, and that is the single thing that holds rear brake fade off as a session wears on. With Street, Sport and Racing pad compounds offered, you can run the quiet, low-dust Street pad for the commute and step up to the Racing compound for circuit work without touching the hardware; Sport sits in between for fast road with occasional track use. A fixed caliper gives a firmer pedal and more even pad wear than the sliding factory unit, so brake balance stays where you set it under hard trail-braking. Braided lines keep that pedal firm as the heat builds. On a front-heavy car like the FK2, a settled rear is what lets you brake later and deeper into a corner. The caliper is included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone finish available to suit the build.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The discs are two-piece floating rotors with hollow internal vanes, trimming rotating and unsprung mass at the rear without losing swept area. The rotor works with a multi-piston fixed caliper, hollow-body as standard, that clamps the pad more evenly than the factory sliding caliper, sharpening pedal feel and extending pad life. For serious track use a Hollow Racing caliper upgrade drops the dust cover, takes a 1000C rating and carries a two-year warranty. XYZ Racing supplies the kit with three pad compounds: a Street compound for everyday road use, a Sport compound for spirited road and occasional track running, and a Racing compound built for sustained circuit heat. Beyond the no-cost painted colours, premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) and candy (Teal, Blue, Red, Orange) finishes are offered. The whole package is engineered as a bolt-on rear upgrade for the FK2 Civic Type R, sitting behind the factory front brakes rather than replacing them.
Fitment for the Honda Civic FK2 Type R (2015-2017)
This kit fits the FK2-generation Honda Civic Type R built from 2015 to 2017, the turbocharged hatch that came before the FK8. It is a rear-position kit only, designed to upgrade the back axle while the standard front brakes stay in place. Confirm your build year falls inside the 2015-2017 window before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
