Caliper render for this kit:

The F25-generation X3 carries its mass high and well forward, and on a heavy xDrive SUV the rear axle earns its keep on long descents, loaded motorway runs and back-to-back stops where the standard discs run short of thermal headroom. The XYZ Racing rear big brake kit for the Bmw X3 F25 (2011-2017) targets exactly that weakness: a larger, hollow-vane rear setup that puts more thermal mass and a firmer, more progressive pedal behind the back wheels.
This is a rear-axle upgrade aimed at owners who actually lean on the brakes: spirited road driving, the occasional track day, or a fully laden X3 hauling down from speed. It pairs with three pad compounds and a full range of caliper finishes, so the spec follows how you drive rather than forcing a single compromise.
What this brake kit does for your 2011-2017 Bmw X3 F25
After fitting, the clearest change on the F25 is a rear axle that stops protesting under repeated use. The larger hollow-vane discs shed heat faster, and their two-piece floating build keeps each disc true as it heats, so the pedal stays consistent on the third and fourth hard stop instead of going long and soft. With the Racing compound, rear bite is sharp enough to keep the nose-heavy X3 settled into a corner under trail braking; the Sport compound widens the heat range for fast-road and occasional track use; the Street compound trades outright bite for quieter, lower-dust daily manners. Stronger rear thermal capacity also takes load off the fronts, which matters on a heavy AWD SUV pushing close to two tonnes. The net result is more braking confidence on the road and a back axle that holds together when you string corners together.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit is a rear-axle big brake package built around hollow-vane two-piece discs and uprated calipers that replace the standard rear setup on the X3 F25, supplied as a matched left-and-right pair with braided lines. The hollow-vane design opens internal paths that draw heat away from the friction surface while cutting rotating mass, which is what keeps a brake working when a tired stock disc would begin to fade. Caliper clamping is matched to the larger disc, so the added leverage translates into stronger, more linear retardation rather than a grabby on-off response. The kit comes with a choice of three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, letting you bias the system toward quiet road use or sustained hard stops. The caliper is a hollow-body unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing version rated to 1000C and a two-year warranty for serious track use. Included painted finishes are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged and candy options above that, so the hardware suits the look of the car as well as the job. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells are selectable. Everything is sized for the rear of the F25 specifically, keeping the geometry and clamping appropriate to a heavy AWD platform.
Fitment for the Bmw X3 F25 (2011-2017)
This kit is cut for the Bmw X3 F25, covering the 2011 to 2017 model years across the second-generation chassis. It is a rear-position kit, so it upgrades the back axle only and can run alongside a matching front kit or on its own. Confirm your build year falls inside the 2011-2017 F25 window before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
