Caliper render for this kit:

On the E92 320 coupe the rear axle does quieter work than the front, but it is the end that settles the car. Lift mid-corner in a rear-driven 3 Series and the tail rotates; get the rear brakes hot and tired over a few quick laps and that rotation turns vague. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit for the BMW 3 Series E92 320 (OE160) is built to keep the back axle predictable when the front kit is already doing the heavy lifting.
This is a rear-specific upgrade matched to the OE160 caliper interface, a pair of rear calipers and a pair of two-piece floating discs, so it pairs with a front big brake setup rather than standing alone. The hollow-vane rotor construction trims rotating and unsprung mass at each rear hub, the weight that the E92’s multilink rear has to control over kerbs and broken tarmac, while giving the discs more surface to shed heat.
What this rear brake kit does for your 2007-2011 BMW 3 Series E92 320
After fitting, the first thing you notice is a firmer, more linear rear bite under trail braking, which keeps the E92 settled as you ease off and turn in. The discs warm quickly and stay more consistent across repeated stops, so the rear pedal feel does not drift away on a longer run. Pad compound is your call: Street for quiet, low-dust road use, Sport for fast road and the occasional track day, Racing for sustained circuit abuse, letting you match rear bite to how hard the front is being worked. Less rotating mass at the rear hubs also takes a small edge off the 320’s unsprung weight, sharpening response over surface changes.
About the rear brake kit
The kit centres on two-piece floating rear discs designed to lose mass without losing thermal capacity, fed by a caliper that bolts to the E92’s OE160 mounting. The floating ring expands on its alloy bell to stay flat under heat, and the hollow-vane casting helps the disc warm and shed temperature evenly. Three pad compounds are offered, Street, Sport and Racing, so the same hardware covers a daily commute or a track day depending on what you load it with. Calipers come finished in painted Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with premium polished-forged, candy and Custom Pantone options, so the rear setup can match a front kit or your wheel choice behind the spokes. Disc faces are available drilled or slotted at the same price. The caliper is hollow-cast as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use. Because it is a rear application, the focus is on stability and heat management rather than outright stopping force, which is what a balanced E92 brake package actually needs at the back.
Fitment for the BMW 3 Series E92 320 (2007-2011)
This kit is fitted to the BMW 3 Series E92 320 (OE160) coupe across the 2007 to 2011 model years, mounting to the rear axle via the OE160 caliper interface. Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
