Caliper render for this kit:

The 8T S5’s weight sits resolutely over its nose, the V8 hung ahead of the front axle and the quattro driveline loading the front tyres first. That bias is exactly why the rear axle on these cars gets overlooked, and why a rear upgrade returns more than most owners expect. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Audi S5 8T Quattro (type II) (2007-2012) goes after that neglected corner of the car.
This is the rear half of a balanced braking strategy: lighter two-piece floating discs, a proper forged caliper, and a pad menu that lets you match rear bite to how hard you actually drive. On a heavy, front-biased coupe, getting the back axle to contribute under braking changes how the whole car settles into a corner.
What this brake kit does for your 2007-2012 Audi S5 8T Quattro (type II)
Fit this rear kit and the first thing the 2007-2012 Audi S5 notices is rotating mass. The two-piece floating disc trims weight at the very edge of the rear hubs, which sharpens how quickly the rear axle responds and eases the load on the dampers over kerbs and broken tarmac. The three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you set rear bite to the job: Street for quiet, low-dust road manners, Sport for the heat of a hard B-road and light track work, and Racing when you are stringing together circuit laps and need the rear to keep pulling its share while the fronts work hardest. Because the S5 carries so much mass forward, a clean-biting rear helps the car rotate rather than wash wide at turn-in. Braided lines hold the pedal firm under heat. Stopping distances tighten, pedal feel stays consistent as temperatures climb, and the back of the car feels planted instead of along for the ride. Five included caliper colours, from Red and Gold through to Anodized Black, plus a custom Pantone finish, mean the hardware looks right behind an open wheel.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
XYZ Racing builds this as a rear-axle kit centred on a two-piece floating disc engineered to shed rotating and unsprung weight without surrendering thermal capacity, its hollow internal vanes routing cooling air through the casting. The forged caliper is hollow-bodied as standard. Less mass at the rim means the discs heat and shed heat more evenly, which counts on a long downhill braking zone or a busy track session where neglected rear pads can glaze. The caliper is finished in your choice of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone option. The pad compound is where the kit earns its flexibility: a Street compound for quiet daily use, a Sport compound that tolerates repeated hard stops and light track work, and a Racing compound built for the temperatures of sustained circuit work. Braided lines are included, discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and the centre bell can be upgraded to two-tone anodized in five colours or titanium. It is a rear-specific kit, designed to complement a front upgrade and bring the S5’s braking into balance rather than leave the back axle on its modest factory hardware.
Fitment for the Audi S5 8T Quattro (type II) (2007-2012)
This kit is cut for the Audi S5 8T Quattro (type II) across the 2007-2012 build years, the type II designation marking the specific 8T variant the discs and caliper bracket are machined to suit. It is a rear-position kit, a pair of rear calipers and discs, so plan it alongside the matching front if you want the whole car braking in step. Confirm your exact 8T derivative against the year span before configuring.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
