Caliper render for this kit:

The B7-era A4 quattro carries its mass well forward of the front axle, and that nose-heavy bias is exactly why the rear brakes get overlooked. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Audi A4 Quattro (2004-2008) goes after the back end specifically: more thermal capacity and a firmer, steadier pedal at the moment the fronts are working hardest.
This is a rear-axle kit, sized to complement a front upgrade rather than fight it. The two-piece floating disc strips rotating mass off each rear corner, and three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match the back of the car to how you actually drive it, from fast road to circuit days.
What this brake kit does for your 2004-2008 Audi A4 Quattro
On a quattro the rear axle carries drivetrain hardware the rest of the segment does not, so rear brake heat builds faster than owners expect through a run of hard stops. This kit gives the back of the car the thermal headroom to hold bite consistent across repeated decelerations, which steadies brake balance and stops the nose loading up unpredictably mid-corner. The two-piece floating disc cuts rotating and unsprung weight at each rear corner, sharpening how quickly the wheels react over broken surfaces. The Racing compound brings firmer initial bite for track sessions, the Sport pad lifts the heat range for harder road work, and the Street pad keeps cold-bite manners civil and dust low for daily driving. The net effect is a rear end pulling its share of the braking instead of leaning on the fronts.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The rear brake kit is XYZ Racing’s rear-axle upgrade built around a two-piece floating disc, a construction that removes material from the disc to drop rotating mass while keeping the swept area you need for heat management. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard to keep weight down, with an optional Hollow Racing build for sessions where higher operating temperatures are routine that removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. It is a position-specific kit for the rear of the car, a matched pair of rear calipers and discs with braided lines, supplied to suit the A4 quattro’s rear hubs. Three pad compounds are offered: a Street pad for quiet, low-dust road use, a Sport compound for fast-road driving, and a Racing compound for track sessions. Included painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange, if you want the rear calipers to echo a front kit or your wheel colour. As the rear half of a balanced setup, it is designed to pair with a matching front brake kit rather than work alone.
Fitment for the Audi A4 Quattro (2004-2008)
This kit is cut for the quattro variant of the Audi A4 across the 2004 to 2008 model years, and fits the rear axle specifically. Confirm your car is the quattro four-wheel-drive model rather than the front-wheel-drive A4, as the rear hub and caliper mounting differ between the two.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
