Caliper render for this kit:

The Mk7 GTI loads almost everything onto its front axle: the EA888’s mid-range torque, the steering, and the braking all arrive at the same two contact patches. Push a standard GTI hard on a circuit and the front brakes are the first thing to protest, with pedal travel growing and bite softening as the fluid heats and the discs glaze. That is the gap this front big brake kit is built to close.
The XYZ Racing Front Brake Kit for the Volkswagen GOLF 7 GTI (2013-2020) replaces the standard front setup with a larger, lighter pair of calipers and two-piece floating discs that resist fade and recover faster between heavy stops. It is aimed at owners who use the car for fast road work and the occasional track day, and who want the front end to keep biting long after the standard brakes have gone soft.
What this brake kit does for your 2013-2020 Volkswagen GOLF 7 GTI
After fitting, the first thing you notice on the road is a firmer, more progressive pedal that makes it easier to modulate brake pressure on turn-in. On track the benefit is thermal: the lighter, vented disc sheds rotating mass at the hub, which lets the front discs lose heat faster and hold a consistent pedal through repeated braking zones. With less unsprung weight at each front corner, the suspension settles more quickly over mid-corner bumps, sharpening the GTI’s turn-in and helping the front tyres stay planted under trail-braking. Pad compound is your call: the Street option suits road use, the Sport compound copes with spirited driving and light track work, and the Racing compound is there when you are stringing together full sessions. The result is more braking confidence on a car that already lives or dies by what its front axle is doing.
About the Front Brake Kit
The Front Brake Kit is a front-axle upgrade built around larger two-piece floating discs and a fixed multi-piston caliper, with a hollow-vane disc construction that trims rotating and unsprung mass without giving up clamping area. A bigger disc gives the pads more leverage and more surface to absorb heat, while the stiffer caliper body – hollow-bodied as standard – reduces flex under load so more of your pedal effort becomes actual clamping force rather than caliper deflection. The kit is offered with three pad compounds – Street, Sport, and Racing – so you can match friction level and temperature window to how the car is used rather than accepting a single compromise. Calipers come in the no-cost Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, a custom Pantone colour, the polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, or the candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange finishes to suit the build behind the spokes. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price. Because this is a front-only kit, it targets the axle that does the bulk of the braking work on a front-drive GTI, which is where the standard setup runs out of thermal headroom first.
Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF 7 GTI (2013-2020)
This kit is mapped to the Volkswagen GOLF 7 GTI across the 2013 to 2020 model years, covering the Mk7 and facelift Mk7.5 GTI. It is a front-position fitment, and as with any big brake kit you should confirm your wheel diameter and barrel clearance before ordering. Only the front axle is covered by this kit.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
