Caliper render for this kit:

The AE111 Levin’s Super Strut front suspension was Toyota’s engineering solution to a persistent FWD problem: scrub-radius-induced torque steer from a high-output 1.6. By repositioning the pivot geometry at the strut base it delivered cleaner steering feedback than the standard AE111 platform, but it also created a hub specification that sits apart from the regular-strut car. Brake upgrades have to account for that geometry; a kit specced for the standard AE111 will not fit here.
At the 20-valve 4A-GE’s ceiling the Levin builds speed with unusual urgency for a naturally aspirated 1.6. On circuit that translates into harder, more frequent brake events than the OEM front axle was sized for. Fade resistance under repeat stops, and the confidence to carry speed into a late-braking zone, are the case for this XYZ Racing Front Big Brake Kit, a pair of front calipers and a pair of two-piece front discs built specifically for the Super Strut hub.
What this brake kit does for your 1997-2000 Toyota AE111 LEVIN 2WD (SUPER STRUT)
The two-piece floating disc construction pulls heat out of the braking zone faster than a solid disc, which is the detail that matters most on a car used for track sessions. Cooler discs maintain friction compound consistency, so the bite available on the opening lap is still there when the session is thirty minutes old. The hollow-vane casting drives air through the friction surface, and the two-piece construction trims rotating and unsprung mass on a light, high-revving chassis.
Three pad compounds let you run the kit at whatever intensity the car actually sees, without swapping the whole system. Street is the quiet, low-dust default; Sport adds bite and heat range for spirited road and occasional track work; Racing is the full circuit compound. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, braided lines firm up the pedal, and the calipers are painted in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no cost, or in any Pantone as a Custom Color for an added charge, worth deciding deliberately given how visible the calipers sit behind most late-1990s Toyota wheel designs.
About the Front Big Brake Kit
The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, light against its strength, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for sustained circuit running that removes the dust cover and adds a 1000C rating and a two-year warranty. The two-piece floating disc improves thermal dissipation without the structural compromises of heavily drilled discs. This is a front-only kit, targeting the axle that does the majority of braking work on any front-wheel-drive platform, and on a high-revving 20-valve car that proportion is higher still.
All three pad compounds share the same caliper geometry, giving a genuine choice between daily comfort, spirited road use and sustained circuit running rather than a single compromise. Beyond the included paints, finish choices extend to premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and a candy range of Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red and Candy Orange. Centre bells can be specified two-tone in five anodized colours or in titanium, all chosen when you order.
Fitment for the Toyota AE111 LEVIN 2WD (SUPER STRUT) (1997-2000)
This kit is specified exclusively for the Super Strut variant of the Toyota AE111 Levin 2WD, covering the 1997 to 2000 production run and fitting the front axle as a left-and-right pair. The Super Strut front suspension uses a distinct hub geometry from the standard-strut AE111, and this fitment confirms compatibility with that specific architecture. Confirm your car carries the Super Strut designation before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
