Caliper render for this kit:

The ST185 Celica GT-Four is Toyota’s Group A homologation road car, the platform that put Carlos Sainz on the top step of the 1990 WRC drivers’ championship. The 3S-GTE turbocharged four-cylinder and viscous-coupled AWD drivetrain remain as capable as ever in 2026, but the stock front brake setup, designed within the regulatory and cost constraints of early-1990s production, is the component that most clearly shows its age under sustained hard use.
XYZ Racing’s Hollow Big Brake Kit for the 1990-1993 Toyota Celica GT-Four replaces the original front-axle hardware with larger-diameter discs and a caliper package built for the kind of thermal cycling the stock setup was never asked to survive. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, scale the kit from refreshed road duty through to circuit use.
What this brake kit does for your 1990-1993 Toyota CELICA GT-FOUR
On an AWD platform like the ST185, front-axle braking carries a different load character than on a rear-drive car. The viscous centre differential means the front wheels manage drive and braking duties simultaneously, and the combined effect of the 3S-GTE’s engine braking and mechanical drivetrain drag modifies pedal response in ways that demand a consistent, heat-stable front setup. Larger discs increase thermal mass and swept area, which translates to more linear pedal feel and less fade across repeated hard stops. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc sheds heat faster and reduces rotating mass, while braided lines firm up the pedal. Three compounds let the same caliper and disc serve a daily-driven ST185 on the same ticket as one that sees regular track days, without a hardware swap between uses: Street for low-dust road duty, Sport for harder mixed use, and Racing for sustained brake-zone work.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The Hollow Front Brake Kit is XYZ Racing’s front-axle big brake upgrade, pairing larger-diameter two-piece floating discs with a hollow-bodied fixed caliper. Braided lines are part of the kit. The three-compound range covers light road use through to motorsport: Street is the quiet, low-dust default for owners driving the GT-Four on occasional road duties, Sport is the choice for fast-road and mixed use where harder stops are routine, and Racing is built for sustained brake-zone work at track days, hillclimbs, or competition where a road pad’s fade threshold would be exceeded. Painted caliper finishes Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black are included at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone at £150 and premium polished-forged and candy finishes also offered, giving owners rebuilding these cars to a considered standard the means to integrate the brake hardware with the rest of the specification.
Fitment for the Toyota CELICA GT-FOUR (1990-1993)
This kit is built for the Toyota Celica GT-Four in the φ-φ 85 specification, covering the 1990-1993 production window corresponding with the ST185 homologation generation. The GT-Four ran in multiple regional configurations during this period, with variations in brake hardware and caliper architecture; confirm your specific chassis and brake specification before ordering. This kit addresses the front axle only.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
