Caliper render for this kit:

Front-wheel drive asks a lot of the front axle, and in the Astra F the equation is especially demanding: the same pair of tyres manages steering, braking, and, in the GSi and 2.0-litre variants, absorbing torque on the way out of a corner. The standard Astra F braking hardware was calibrated for road use, and it does that job adequately, but it was not rated for the thermal loading that repeated hard stops on a sprint course or a circuit generate. This XYZ Racing front brake kit addresses that gap directly.
Three pad compounds mean the kit is not committed to a single use profile the moment you bolt it on. Caliper colour finishes cover everything from understated to conspicuous, so the installation registers visually as well as functionally. The kit is supplied as a matched pair of front discs and calipers.
What this brake kit does for your 1991-1998 Opel ASTRA
Hollow-vane disc construction reduces rotating and unsprung mass at the front axle, which sharpens initial pedal response, while the internal vanes improve heat rejection between braking events, the point at which factory-spec Astra F brakes typically show their limitations under repeated load. The three-compound pad range covers road use, spirited B-road driving, and circuit work within a single kit: Street is the quiet, low-dust default, Sport adds bite and heat range for harder driving and occasional track use, and Racing is for sustained elevated temperatures where a lower-rated compound would degrade. On the Astra F’s front-drive layout, where the front wheels manage braking, steering, and drive simultaneously, a more capable front-axle brake package translates directly into more predictable corner entries and braking zones you can actually trust under pressure.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The Hollow name refers to the disc’s internal vane geometry, which channels airflow through the rotor as it rotates, reducing thermal mass compared to a solid cast-iron disc and improving recovery time between hard braking events. The kit is supplied as a pair of front discs and calipers. The three compounds are graduated to the heat range each use case generates: Street for everyday road temperatures, Sport for harder driving and occasional track use, Racing for sustained elevated temperatures. The calipers are hollow-body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use that removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C, and carries a two-year warranty.
Caliper colour finishes cover Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color option matching any Pantone for an additional fee and premium polished-forged and candy finishes available, making it straightforward to match the hardware to an existing build aesthetic. Disc style is drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable at checkout. The kit covers the Astra F generation from 1991 to 1998, front axle only, with the compound selection making it usable across the full range from road commuter to weekend circuit car.
Fitment for the Opel ASTRA (1991-1998)
This kit covers the Opel Astra from 1991 to 1998, spanning the full Astra F generation across all production body styles. Buyers should verify their current front disc diameter and hub specification before ordering, particularly where previous aftermarket brake hardware has already been fitted, as trim-level fitment details are not broken out further in the supplied product data.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
