Caliper render for this kit:

At over 1,700 kg, the GLC 250 is a car that earns its brakes. The standard front setup on the X253 and C253 is sized for the commute and the motorway cruise; ask it to scrub repeated high-speed entries on a track day or a demanding mountain road and the pedal tells you it was never meant for that conversation. The XYZ Racing front brake kit addresses the front axle directly, replacing hardware specced for relaxed use with a pair of discs and calipers that take the 250’s turbocharged capability at its word.
The kit covers both body variants: the X253 standard SUV and the C253 Coupé share the same MRA-platform front subframe and caliper mounting geometry, so one specification fits either. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, let owners configure precisely, while a full caliper colour range including custom Pantone lets the visual result suit the car rather than clash with it.
What this brake kit does for your 2016-2026 Mercedes Benz GLC 250 X253/ C253
Front-axle load transfer under braking is amplified when the car tips the scales the way the GLC 250 does, and the OEM calipers heat up accordingly under sustained effort. The kit’s larger disc diameter increases thermal mass and swept area at the front, keeping pedal consistency intact where the standard system starts to soften. The two-piece floating discs use a hollow-vane design to evacuate heat, the floating ring expands without warping, and reduced rotating mass sharpens response. Sport pads sharpen initial bite over the Street option for fast-road use; Racing handles the heat cycle of circuit work that the 250’s factory brake spec was never calibrated for; Street stays quiet and low-dust for daily duty. Discs are offered drilled or slotted at the same price. Beneath 18-inch or larger alloys the caliper is clearly visible: choose from Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone match and premium polished-forged or candy finishes.
About the front brake kit
The kit prioritises reducing rotating and unsprung mass at the corner without sacrificing clamping force, relevant on a platform where the front axle is already carrying the weight of a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder mounted longitudinally. The two-piece floating disc delivers that, and the caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing caliper, no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty, for harder use. The three-compound pad range is a genuine range rather than a marketing gesture: Street suits owners after an upgrade over worn OEM hardware, Sport delivers improved cold-bite for spirited driving in all conditions, and Racing absorbs the thermal loading of lap sessions the GLC 250’s factory specification was not built to endure. Braided lines firm the pedal, and centre bell upgrades in five anodized colours or titanium are selectable at checkout. The caliper hardware is designed to be seen through the wheel spokes rather than hidden behind them.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz GLC 250 X253/ C253 (2016-2026)
This front brake kit is confirmed for the Mercedes Benz GLC 250 across both the X253 standard SUV and C253 Coupé body styles, covering the full 2016 to 2026 model year range. Both variants share identical front subframe and caliper mounting architecture, so no body-specific variation is required. If your car carries factory AMG or Sport-line brake upgrades that differ from the standard front specification, verify disc diameter and caliper bracket sizing against the kit’s specification sheet before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
