Caliper render for this kit:

The W216 CL 600 is one of the more demanding braking propositions in the Mercedes range, not because it is a circuit car, but because the V12 bi-turbo’s 830Nm of torque and the platform’s weight above 2,000 kilograms generate thermal loading that accumulates on any sustained run where the performance is actually used. Factory brakes on the W216 were specced for the car’s standard remit; repeatedly hauling that mass from motorway speed is where the stock setup begins to show its limits.
Against that context, this XYZ Racing front big brake kit offers a matched pair of left and right calipers and two-piece floating discs centred on improved heat dispersal, with pad compounds ranging from Street to Sport to Racing, allowing the setup to be matched to how the CL 600 is actually driven rather than assuming a single use case.
What this brake kit does for your 2006-2013 Mercedes Benz CL 600 W216
Hollow-vane disc construction shifts heat away from the friction surface more efficiently than a solid ventilated disc, which on a car with the CL 600’s mass means measurable improvement in pedal feel under repeated hard stops, the point where the OE setup’s thermal limits first become apparent. Reduced rotating and unsprung mass quickens response, and the two-piece floating construction controls expansion. Three pad compounds give the installation real flexibility: Street is the quiet, low-dust default for predominantly road use, Sport for where temperatures cycle higher on fast roads, and Racing where maximum bite and fade resistance are the priority. Braided lines keep the pedal firm throughout.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit is built around hollow-vane disc construction that manages heat more aggressively than a conventional ventilated disc, paired with a hollow-bodied caliper as standard. The design reduces unsprung weight at the front axle while improving cooling capacity, relevant for any platform carrying the W216’s kerb weight at the speeds the V12 enables. Pad compound selection covers the full range of use cases from daily driving to occasional circuit work, with the Racing compound providing maximum friction coefficient and fade resistance under sustained braking load. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and an optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade for serious track work drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty.
Caliper finish is selectable when you order. Five painted colours are included at no extra cost: Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, plus candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. Two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours, or titanium, are selectable at checkout, so the kit can work as a visual statement through the W216’s large-diameter alloys or sit in line with the car’s existing colour scheme.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz CL 600 W216 (2006-2013)
This front brake kit is confirmed for the Mercedes Benz CL 600 W216, covering the full production run from 2006 to 2013. The CL 600 remained on the W216 platform throughout that period, and this kit addresses the front axle, the position where the majority of braking load on a front-engined grand tourer is concentrated.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
