Caliper render for this kit:

The W203 C 230 was never intended as a performance car in the traditional sense, with Mercedes positioning it as an entry saloon, yet the supercharged Kompressor engine and, from the 2004 facelift onwards, the 2.5-litre V6, give the car enough pace to expose the limits of its factory front braking under sustained fast driving. On a track day or a committed back-road sequence, the standard discs run out of margin before the chassis does.
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit slots onto the front axle of the C 230 W203 and addresses that shortfall directly. It is a matched pair of left and right calipers and two-piece floating discs, and three pad compounds let owners spec the system to their actual use, from daily commuting through to occasional circuit work, without changing the fundamental installation.
What this brake kit does for your 2000-2007 Mercedes Benz C Class W203 C 230
The W203’s front suspension geometry places a significant proportion of braking load through the forward axle, and the C 230’s output, especially in Kompressor form, means the car can arrive at braking zones with more momentum than the factory front brakes were tuned to handle repeatedly. Hollow-vane disc construction reduces rotating and unsprung mass at the front corners, which translates to sharper pedal response and more consistent feel across successive stops. Fade resistance improves meaningfully with the Racing compound fitted, making the system usable across full circuit sessions without the progressive softness that affects road pads in sustained hard use. The two-piece floating disc lets the rotor manage expansion cleanly, and braided lines keep the pedal firm.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The Hollow designation refers to the hardware itself: material is removed from the disc casting through hollow-vane construction to cut mass without compromising the swept friction surface or structural integrity, while the caliper is hollow-bodied as standard. For a car in the W203’s weight class, reducing unsprung mass at the front corners is felt directly through the steering, with the front axle responding more cleanly to both trail-braking inputs and mid-corner load adjustments. The three-tier pad selection is central to the kit’s range: Street is the quiet, low-dust compound for a car primarily on road duties; Sport covers the enthusiast driving hard on open roads and visiting circuits occasionally; Racing provides the thermal headroom required for repeated track braking without fluid boil or glazed pads. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and an optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade for serious track work drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty.
Caliper finish is selected when you order. Five painted colours are included at no extra cost: Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, plus candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. Two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours, or titanium, are selectable at checkout for owners building around a specific paint or wheel scheme.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W203 C 230 (2000-2007)
This front brake kit is specified for the Mercedes Benz C Class W203 C 230 across the full production run from 2000 to 2007, covering both the early Kompressor and the post-facelift V6 variants. Check caliper clearance against your wheel spokes before ordering if the car runs aftermarket wheels with tighter spoke geometry than the factory specification; enlarged front calipers on a big brake fitment require adequate clearance to rotate freely.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
