Caliper render for this kit:

The Range Rover Velar’s position in the JLR portfolio is telling: slimmer and lower than the Sport, riding the PLA monocoque rather than a ladder frame, yet still nudging two tonnes in P250 S specification. That kerb weight, combined with a 250 PS Ingenium four-pot that delivers strongly across the mid-range, puts predictable pressure on the OEM front brakes when the roads ask for more than gentle progress.
The XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit for the 2020-2021 Velar P250 S (P=8mm) addresses that pressure at the front axle, where weight transfer under braking concentrates the load, with hollow-vane disc technology, expanded swept area, and three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, that span daily use to committed driving. It is supplied as a matched pair of front calipers and two-piece floating discs.
What this brake kit does for your 2020-2021 Land Rover Range Rover Velar P250 S
Hollow-vane disc construction is the defining specification: the internal geometry draws heat away from the friction face more efficiently than a conventional disc, holding working temperatures across repeated hard stops. On the Velar P250 S, a two-tonne all-wheel-drive platform where every deceleration loads the front axle heavily, that thermal headroom translates directly into pedal consistency when a mountain descent or a long, fast A-road demands more than the occasional gentle scrub of speed. Three pad compounds match friction to actual use without hardware changes between seasons: Street is the quiet, low-dust default; Sport widens the heat range for harder road work; Racing is the track compound. Caliper colour is included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, or Anodized Black at no extra cost, so the visible components behind open-spoke alloys can be specified to complement or contrast the exterior deliberately. Custom Color matches any Pantone for £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The hollow-vane disc takes its name from the channels cast into the disc body, which act as an active heat path rather than a passive thermal mass. Where solid discs accumulate heat and transfer it into the pad and fluid, the hollow architecture pushes fade onset later, a measurable advantage on a vehicle in the Velar’s weight class. The two-piece floating disc lets the rotor expand cleanly under heat, and braided lines keep the pedal firm. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for maximum thermal tolerance, no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty. The three-compound pad range runs from a Street friction material suited to everyday driving, through a Sport compound with sharper bite and improved durability under repeated use, to a Racing specification for outright thermal tolerance and stopping force. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout, so the finished installation presents exactly as intended through the wheel. Front-axle fitment targets the brake component that absorbs the greatest proportion of kinetic load on every deceleration.
Fitment for the Land Rover Range Rover Velar (2020-2021)
This kit is listed for the Land Rover Range Rover Velar P250 S in P=8mm specification, covering 2020 and 2021 production. The P=8mm designation identifies a specific hardware variant within the Velar run; cross-reference your VIN or existing caliper and disc specification before ordering to confirm correct mounting geometry and carrier compatibility.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
