Caliper render for this kit:

The L494 Range Rover Sport was built to Land Rover’s most ambitious dynamic brief, an aluminium monocoque platform, adaptive air suspension, and in SVR specification a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 producing up to 575 bhp against a kerb weight above 2,200 kg. That combination generates kinetic energy at a rate the factory front brakes manage adequately under normal use but tests severely under sustained load. A long Alpine descent, a track morning where the SVR is driven at its ceiling, or repeated hard stops on a mountain road are where thermal saturation in the front rotors becomes the limiting factor.
Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, let one front-axle installation cover that full range. Street is the quiet, low-dust default for the majority of daily miles; Sport suits spirited fast-road driving and mixed track days; Racing is there for owners who take the L494 to circuit events and need consistent stopping performance across multiple sessions. The kit is supplied as a matched pair of front calipers and two-piece floating discs.
What this brake kit does for your 2014-2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport (L494)
The L494’s front axle handles a disproportionate share of braking energy under hard stops, compounded by the platform’s forward pitch under nose-dive and the sheer mass in play. The hollow-vane disc reduces rotating and unsprung mass at each front corner, meaningful on a platform where air suspension continuously works to manage body attitude and keep the front tyres loaded. Lower unsprung mass means more responsive steering feel and reduced heat-cycling fatigue across a long session, while the hollow geometry sheds heat through the rotor body. The three compounds cover the full use-case spectrum from motorway miles to circuit work in a single installation. Caliper colour is included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, or Anodized Black at no extra cost, integrating with the car’s visual character whether standard-finished or running a wider modification programme. Custom Color matches any Pantone for £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange.
About the Hollow Brake Kit
The Hollow designation identifies the disc construction, hollow-vane rotors that reduce rotating mass at the front axle while maintaining the swept area and thermal capacity the L494’s weight demands. Lighter rotating mass is a recognised gain on high-kerb-weight vehicles: reduced gyroscopic inertia at the front wheels improves directional responsiveness and eases the air suspension’s workload during direction changes at speed. The two-piece floating disc lets the rotor expand cleanly under heat, and braided lines keep the pedal firm. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for sustained track temperatures, no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty. Three pad compounds address distinct temperature windows, Street for road friction, Sport for higher-demand fast-road and mixed circuit use, Racing for sustained track temperatures where a softer compound would glaze. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout, all applied to the front fitment.
Fitment for the Land Rover Range Rover Sport (L494) (2014-2026)
This kit is confirmed for the Land Rover Range Rover Sport in the L494 body, covering the complete second-generation run from 2014 through 2026. The L494 platform spans a wide engine and trim spread, SDV6, SDV8, P360, V8 Supercharged, P400e hybrid, and the SVR, and the front fitment covers the platform across that range. If running aftermarket wheels with reduced spoke-to-caliper clearance, confirm inner clearance against the kit dimensions before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
