Caliper render for this kit:

The E46 325’s M54 inline-six rewards the driver who uses it hard: 192bhp that pulls cleanly to the red line and a rear-wheel-drive chassis that only gets more communicative as speeds rise. The factory front brakes kept pace on the roads of 1998. They tend not to once this generation of 3 Series has been pressed into track-day duty and the driver starts treating Clearways or the Esses at Castle Combe as a repeatable test.
The XYZ Racing front big brake kit for the BMW 3 Series E46 325 lifts the braking specification to match the rest of the car’s capability. It is a single front-axle kit, a matched pair of calipers and two-piece floating discs. Three pad compounds and a full caliper colour choice make it a genuine setup decision rather than a box-tick upgrade.
What this brake kit does for your 1998-2006 Bmw 3 SERIES E 46 325
A big brake kit on the E46 does something specific: it raises the point at which the front end starts to tell you enough under sustained heavy braking. The hollow-vane disc sheds heat that would otherwise migrate into the fluid and introduce fade, the symptom most E46 track-day drivers recognise as a long, soft pedal midway through the second session of the day. The two-piece floating ring grows under heat without coning and trims rotating and unsprung mass, sharpening turn-in. Braided lines firm the pedal further.
Pad compound lets owners match the friction material to how the car is actually used, chosen when you order. Street suits a 325 that still covers daily miles, with low dust and quiet running. Sport handles mixed fast-road and circuit work. Racing is for operating temperatures that stay consistently high. All three share the same caliper body, included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 to suit wherever the car’s build is heading. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The XYZ Racing kit targets platforms where the factory brake specification becomes a ceiling rather than a floor once the car is used with intent. The two-piece floating disc allows heat to dissipate from the friction surface rather than soaking into the disc and migrating toward the caliper, which keeps fluid temperatures lower over sustained hard use, exactly the condition that exposes the E46’s standard architecture on a circuit. The caliper runs a hollow body as standard, keeping reciprocating weight low; for full-session circuit use a Hollow Racing upgrade drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. This is a front-axle kit. Three pad compounds cover the operating range from cold-start commuting through to full-session circuit temperatures, and the included painted finishes plus premium polished-forged and candy options and two-tone or titanium centre bells let the visual result stay integrated with the car. Compound and finish are chosen at order, so the kit arrives ready to fit.
Fitment for the Bmw 3 SERIES E 46 325 (1998-2006)
This kit is specified for the BMW 3 Series E46 chassis in 325 guise, covering the full production span from 1998 to 2006. The E46 ran across saloon, coupé, convertible and touring bodystyles with the 325 engine throughout, and this front package is compatible across that body range. If the car has previously had aftermarket brakes fitted, verify front caliper clearance against the supplied bracket before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
