Caliper render for this kit:

BMW’s decision to base the F40 on the UKL2 platform was met with scepticism by purists, but the engineering logic was hard to argue with: a transverse engine sitting ahead of the front axle concentrates mass directly where the brakes must cope with it. In a 128ti or M135i xDrive, that loading is substantial, and the front corners carry the majority of braking duty at every hard stop.
The XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit for the BMW 1 Series F40 is built to address that dynamic reality. It is a single-axle front kit, supplying a matched pair of front calipers and front discs. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you calibrate the setup from extended back-road use to committed circuit sessions, while caliper finishes run from the included painted colours through to premium options, so the installation contributes to the visual package as well as the mechanical one.
What this brake kit does for your 2019-2026 Bmw 1 SERIES F 40
The F40’s front-biased weight distribution, an inherent consequence of the transverse engine layout, means repeated high-load braking events build heat at the front axle faster than a comparable rear-drive platform. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc construction draws heat away from the rotor more efficiently, reducing the fade that begins to dull pedal feel on a long descent or deep into a track day session, and the floating construction keeps pad contact even as the rotor expands.
Moving to the Sport or Racing compound provides progressive, linear initial bite that works with the FWD-biased chassis rather than overwhelming it, early pedal confidence that matters especially under trail-braking as you rotate the F40 into a corner; Street remains the quiet, low-dust default for road use. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price. Caliper finish runs from the included painted colours of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, through Custom Color in any Pantone, to premium polished-forged and candy options. The result is shorter, more consistent stops with improved pedal feel under repeated use.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
XYZ Racing’s calipers are hollow-bodied as standard, paring mass from the corner while preserving clamping force, and the two-piece disc increases the surface area exposed to moving air, extracting heat from the disc more effectively than a solid equivalent under sustained load. The kit covers the front axle, the position where the F40’s mass distribution places the greatest thermal and mechanical demand across every braking event.
Three pad compounds are available at order: Street for predominantly road use, Sport for mixed fast-road and occasional track sessions, and Racing for those running the car regularly on circuit. Disc style is drilled or slotted at the same price, and caliper finish covers the included painted colours of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, plus Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged or candy options to match an existing colour scheme or stand apart. Centre bell upgrades in two-tone anodized colours or titanium are selectable at checkout, alongside braided lines. For serious track use, the optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade runs without a dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. The front-only coverage keeps the weight addition focused at the axle that benefits most on this platform.
Fitment for the Bmw 1 SERIES F 40 (2019-2026)
This kit is built specifically for the BMW 1 Series F40 chassis, covering the production run from its 2019 introduction through the 2026 model year. Confirm your variant, 116i, 118i, 120i, 128ti, or M135i xDrive, against the fitment selector, as caliper clearance is chassis-specific. The F40’s shared UKL2 architecture means brake components from other BMW compact or Mini derivatives do not interchange without independent verification.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
