Caliper render for this kit:

The F20 1 Series holds a notable distinction in BMW’s compact hatchback lineage: it arrived rear-wheel drive at a moment when every rival was moving to the front axle, and in M135i and M140i guise it offered straight-six power, 316 and 340bhp respectively, through a short, light bodyshell that could embarrass much larger cars. On those fast-road and track-day variants especially, the production front brake specification starts feeling modest the moment you exploit what the engine and chassis can do.
This XYZ Racing Hollow front brake kit fits the BMW 1 Series F20 across the full 2011-2019 production run. It is a single-axle front kit, supplying a matched pair of front calipers and front discs, offered in three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, alongside a choice of caliper finishes, so the specification matches both the use and the build.
What this brake kit does for your 2011-2019 Bmw 1 Series F 20
Under hard braking, the F20’s short wheelbase loads the front axle heavily, with the mass of the N55 or B58 inline-six sitting well ahead of the front wheels compounding the nose-down pitch. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc construction accelerates heat extraction from the rotor face during that repeated loading, which means less fade on a second or third hard stop from speed, the exact scenario that exposes the limits of the OEM hardware on a warm track. The floating construction keeps pad contact even as the rotor expands.
The three compounds let you run a harder Racing compound through a sprint series and swap back to Street for the return drive, or simply use Street, the quiet, low-dust default, for an owner whose F20 never leaves the road but wants a cleaner pedal feel and more confident modulation through motorway emergency stops. Sport sits between the two for drivers who regularly use the performance the F20 provides. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price. Caliper finish runs from the included painted colours of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, through Custom Color in any Pantone, to premium polished-forged and candy options.
About the Hollow front brake kit
XYZ Racing’s calipers are hollow-bodied as standard, paring mass from the corner while preserving clamping force, and the two-piece disc routes airflow through internal vane channels in a way that provides more aggressive thermal management than conventional vented discs at equivalent diameter, keeping pad and rotor surface temperatures in a tighter, more consistent working band.
The kit spans three pad compounds: Street covers typical road use; Sport raises the thermal ceiling for drivers who regularly use the performance the F20 provides; Racing is calibrated for sustained high-temperature events where Sport pads would glaze. Disc style is drilled or slotted at the same price, and caliper finish is selected at configuration from the included painted colours through to Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged or candy options, so the hardware is visible and coherent alongside any arch or bodywork changes. Centre bell upgrades in two-tone anodized colours or titanium are selectable at checkout, alongside braided lines. For serious track use, the optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade runs without a dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. The front-only fitment makes this a natural first upgrade for an F20 where the front axle sees the greatest braking demand.
Fitment for the Bmw 1 Series F 20 (2011-2019)
This kit is confirmed for the BMW 1 Series F20 five-door hatchback covering all variants across the 2011-2019 model years, from the 114i entry point through the M140i. BMW supplied different OEM brake specifications to M Sport-optioned and standard models across the production run, so confirming your existing front disc diameter and caliper configuration before ordering will confirm the correct fit and compound selection for your specific car.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
