Caliper render for this kit:

The E82 135i coupe carries BMW’s N54 biturbo straight-six in a body that tips the scales at around 1,430 kg, compact by six-cylinder turbocharged standards, but more than capable of generating front-brake demands that exhaust the standard stoppers within a few committed track sessions. XYZ Racing’s Hollow Front Brake Kit is designed to sit ahead of those limits, with a three-compound pad programme and a wide range of caliper finishes that cover everything from spirited road use to dedicated circuit work.
The E82 sits on a shorter wheelbase than the E90 3 Series on which the platform is based, which means weight pitches forward sharply under hard deceleration, loading the front brakes harder than the car’s dimensions suggest. The N54 and later N55 engine pulls cleanly from low in the rev range and holds power to 7,000 rpm, so stop-and-go lap structures are the norm on any decent circuit, and the front axle accumulates heat accordingly. This is a single-axle front kit, supplying a matched pair of front calipers and front discs.
What this front brake kit does for your 2007-2013 Bmw 1 SERIES E 82 135
The Hollow kit extends the fade threshold of the front braking system, the axle that carries the majority of the retardation work on a car with this power output and this short a wheelbase. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating discs do the thermal work, and the floating construction keeps pad contact even as the rotor expands.
Three pad compounds cover the realistic use spread: Street is the quiet, low-dust road default for daily driving, Sport adds bite and heat range for fast-road and light track-day use where brake temperatures rise but sustained heat is not the primary concern, and Racing is the dedicated circuit compound for committed sessions where pads need to operate at elevated temperature across repeated heavy braking zones. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price. Caliper finish runs from the included painted colours of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, through Custom Color in any Pantone, to premium polished-forged and candy options, so the new hardware can be matched or contrasted to the car without looking like an afterthought visible through the spokes of aftermarket wheels.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
XYZ Racing’s calipers are hollow-bodied as standard, paring mass from the corner while preserving clamping force, and the Hollow is the front big brake option for the E82 135 platform, bridging the gap between the factory braking hardware and a full competition brake system. The three-compound approach is built around the reality that most 135i owners use their car across multiple contexts, road registration, occasional track days, and potentially more focused circuit use, and a single kit should not force a compromise between those scenarios.
The front-only configuration reflects where thermal loading concentrates on the 135i under hard use: the short wheelbase and the engine’s wide usable rev band combine to make late, heavy front-axle braking the defining moment of any fast lap. Disc style is drilled or slotted at the same price, and the caliper finish programme spans the included painted colours through to Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged or candy options, extending the kit’s scope into visual builds. Centre bell upgrades in two-tone anodized colours or titanium are selectable at checkout, alongside braided lines. For serious track use, the optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade runs without a dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty.
Fitment for the Bmw 1 SERIES E 82 135 (2007-2013)
This front brake kit is confirmed for the BMW 1 Series E82 coupe in 135 specification across the full 2007-2013 production run. That span covers both the N54 biturbo used in early cars and the revised N55 single-scroll twin-power introduced around 2010; the brake fitment is consistent across both engine generations. The E82 coupe and E88 convertible share the same underpinnings but carry different brake fitment references; confirm your chassis code is E82 before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
