Caliper render for this kit:

The C5 A6 2.5 TDI Quattro Avant is not a light car. A longitudinal V6 diesel up front, full quattro all-wheel-drive hardware running the length of the floor, and the structural mass of an Avant estate body push the kerb weight well above 1,700 kg in standard trim, and that figure rises the moment the boot is loaded or a tow bar enters the equation. That front-heavy distribution is what the stock brake specification was calibrated around, and it is precisely where a properly-sized big brake kit earns its place.
The XYZ Racing front brake kit for the A6 2.5 TDI Quattro Avant targets that front axle directly, a front-axle pair of left and right calipers with matched two-piece floating discs, providing the thermal headroom the factory setup runs short of under sustained hard use: fast A-roads, long descents with weight on board, or the kind of driving a loaded quattro estate genuinely invites.
What this brake kit does for your 1997-2004 Audi A6 2.5 TDI QUATTRO AVANT (94)
Enlarged front discs over the OEM diameter mean more swept area and greater thermal mass, raising the threshold before fade becomes an issue on a car this heavy. The hollow-vane disc design sheds heat faster than a solid casting between stops, while the lighter two-piece construction cuts rotating and unsprung mass at the front. Braided lines hold the pedal firm where rubber hoses would swell. Three pad compounds let you configure the same hardware for very different profiles: touring loads on an estate that doubles as a daily, spirited fast-road work where the quattro’s traction will consistently outrun inadequate stopping power, or track outings where the A6’s kerb weight creates significant sustained heat input. Street is the quiet, low-dust road default, Sport widens the heat range for fast-road use, and Racing is the track compound. Calipers are hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use, rated to 1000C, no dust cover, two-year warranty.
About the Front Brake Kit
The XYZ Racing front brake kit is built around a two-piece floating, hollow-vane disc: vented internal construction that draws airflow through the disc during braking to dissipate heat rather than absorb and hold it. As a front big brake kit, the disc diameter and caliper specification step beyond the factory fitment to give the C5 A6 meaningful fade resistance under the thermal loading its mass creates. The three-stage pad choice maps cleanly onto how these cars are used: Street is the quiet road default with a sensible bedding period, Sport adds initial bite and progressive modulation for spirited driving, and Racing is the track compound that will not glaze at temperature. Discs come in drilled or slotted face at the same price, with optional two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours or titanium at checkout. Included caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) and candy finishes (Teal, Blue, Red, Orange) also available, suiting the A6 whether it serves as a clean fast-road estate or a detailed show car.
Fitment for the Audi A6 2.5 TDI QUATTRO AVANT (94) (1997-2004)
This kit is matched to the C5-generation A6 in 2.5 TDI Quattro Avant configuration across the full 1997-2004 production run. Fitment is front axle only; a matched rear kit for the same chassis is available separately. Before ordering, cross-check your build date and original caliper carrier dimensions; early and late C5 production can differ in minor fitment details that affect installation clearance.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
