XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Toyota WISH 2003-2008

The TO59 Toyota WISH was never built to attack a loose surface. It left the factory as a tall, soft-sprung compact MPV sharing its floorpan with the Corolla and Avensis, with long-travel springs and a high body tuned for the school run rather than a special stage. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover rewrites that brief, replacing the WISH’s mild factory damping with a long-stroke, inverted-tube setup developed for sandstone, snow and silt.

This is the rally-spec member of the XYZ Racing coilover range, not a fast-road kit pressed into off-tarmac duty. It pairs long springs and generous travel with damping that XYZ’s own rally team signed off, so a 2003-2008 Toyota WISH can soak up a rough, bouncy gravel road instead of crashing through it.

What this coilover kit does for your 2003-2008 Toyota WISH

The standard WISH carries a lot of body for a compact car, and on a broken surface that height translates into roll and a tyre that skips clear of the ground. The Gravel Rally coilover’s long stroke keeps the contact patch planted over ruts and compressions, which is where front-wheel-drive traction is won or lost on gravel. The inverted-tube construction resists the side loads that bend a conventional damper when you load the outside wheel mid-corner, so steering response stays consistent as the surface deteriorates. Long springs absorb the chassis vibration that batters a soft MPV platform at speed, and the rally-tested rates let the WISH carry pace into a corner and take the weight transfer without bottoming out.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

This is a damper engineered specifically for rally and rallycross, where the road surface is the most punishing in motorsport and the shock absorber is the single component doing the most work. XYZ Racing built it around an inverted-tube layout so it copes with the full spread of loose conditions, from dry sandstone to snow to soft silt. The long stroke and long spring are the heart of the design: together they absorb chassis vibration, let the car attack a high-speed bouncy road without unsettling, and stand up to the extreme cornering forces a gravel stage generates. Every spring rate in the kit has been validated by XYZ’s rally team rather than set from a spreadsheet, so the baseline you fit is one that has already turned competitive stage times.

Fitment for the Toyota WISH (2003-2008)

This kit is built for the first-generation Toyota WISH, chassis code TO59, across the 2003 to 2008 model years. Confirm your build year falls inside that span before configuring, and check your spec against the options shown below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
