XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Toyota PRIUS ZVW30 2009-2015

Nobody at Toyota expected the third-generation Prius to end up on a skid pad, yet the ZVW30 has become an unlikely grassroots and exhibition drift base – cheap, light over the front axle, and everywhere. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover exists for exactly that build: a kit designed specifically for drift use, aimed at planting the body and holding a stable line when the car is loaded up mid-slide.

This is not a comfort-first lowering kit wearing a sporty badge. It targets the thing that goes wrong first on a soft chassis – the wallowing, slow-to-settle body movement that kills angle – by dropping the ride height and managing bump stroke so the platform sits down instead of pitching.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2015 Toyota Prius ZVW30

Fit the Drift Spec to a ZVW30 and the first change you feel is the body refusing to float. The standard Prius leans heavily and reacts late; lowering the ride height pulls the centre of gravity down, and the torsion-beam rear stops heaving over kerbs and through transitions. Built up to stabilise the body in fast cornering, the kit lets weight transfer arrive as a clean shift rather than a lurch – which is what allows you to set an angle and keep it instead of constantly correcting. Controlled bump stroke keeps the suspension working inside its travel under hard loading, and the lower stance sharpens turn-in on a car that was never sharp from the factory. On the road, the same drop tightens the Prius’s loose, economy-biased manners.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec around competitive drifting rather than adapting a fast-road kit and hoping it copes. The design priority is body control during high-speed cornering: holding the chassis steady as the car is thrown into and kept in a slide, so the driver can find and maintain a clean angle. Height adjustment lets you set the car genuinely low, and the kit is engineered so that the reduced ride height still works with a sensible bump stroke – the detail most budget drops get wrong, where the suspension runs out of travel and the car skips. By matching the drop to usable bump travel, XYZ Racing keeps the drift behaviour repeatable. The brief throughout is drift control: a platform that answers inputs the same way every time, so the Prius behaves more like a deliberate competition tool than a lowered hatchback.

Fitment for the Toyota Prius ZVW30 (2009-2015)

This kit is cut for the ZVW30 Prius built between 2009 and 2015 – the third-generation hybrid chassis. It is designed for that platform’s standard suspension mounting points, so it suits the ZVW30 bodyshell across the run. Confirm your car carries the ZVW30 chassis code before ordering, as earlier and later Prius generations use different geometry and mounts.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
