XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Maserati Quattroporte M139 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2003-2012

The M139 Quattroporte was built around Maserati’s Skyhook adaptive damping, and when those electronic struts give up – and they do, often expensively – the factory replacement bill is the reason a lot of these cars get parked. The Drift Spec coilover with the integrated cancellation kit is the answer: a full mechanical suspension that signals back to the ECU correctly, so the dash stays clean and the car drives like it should.

Drift Spec is the harder end of the XYZ range, and on a 1,930kg V8 saloon that is genuinely useful. The M139 carries its weight high and forward of the bulkhead, and once the original Skyhook units are tired the body never quite settles between direction changes. A proper height-adjustable damper with the right spring rate gives the chassis something to push against again.

What this coilover does for your 2003-2012 Maserati Quattroporte M139 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Replacing the Skyhook with the Drift Spec hardware kills the "Suspension Failure" warning at the source – the cancellation modules sit in line with the original wiring and emulate the factory damper feedback signal. On the road you get back the long-wheelbase composure the M139 was supposed to have: flatter turn-in, no second-stage bounce over motorway expansion joints, and a brake pedal that no longer dives toward the bumpstops. The 30-step damping adjustment is the part owners notice most – wound soft, the car is liveable on B-roads; firmed up, it holds the nose down when you actually use the 4.2 or 4.7 V8. Ride height adjustment lets you sit the car properly over its wheels without going past the geometry’s working range.

About the Drift Spec coilover

Drift Spec sits above Super Sport in the XYZ ladder and is built for chassis that need more spring than the standard road-biased kits provide. Construction is 32-step inverted monotube up front where the loads are highest, with twin-tube hardware at the rear, and the bodies are CNC-machined from billet aluminium with hard-anodised threads so they actually adjust again after a UK winter. Damping is independently adjustable across 30 detented clicks per corner. Spring rates are selected for the platform rather than carried over from a generic catalogue, and the pillowball top mounts on the front struts let you recover the camber the M139 loses as the bushings age. The cancellation kit is the part that matters for this specific application – it is wired to talk to the M139’s CAN signal, not bolted on as a generic resistor pack.

Fitment for the Maserati Quattroporte M139 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2003-2012)

Chassis code MS04-C, covering the full M139 production run from 2003 to 2012 – this includes the early DuoSelect cars, the automatic Quattroporte S, and the late Sport GT S. The cancellation modules are integrated, so no separate electronic-suspension delete is required. Standard fitment, no other trim variation needed.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
