XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Lexus LS 430 (XF30) 2000-2006

The LS 430’s XF30 platform is an odd choice for the drift scene – until it isn’t. Nearly 1,780 kilograms of Lexus luxury, a 4.3-litre V8 with torque spread across a wide rev range, and Adaptive Variable Suspension so pliant it barely qualifies as resistance: everything about the XF30’s factory set-up is optimised for whisper-quiet motorway cruising, which means every element of it works against you the moment you try to commit sideways at speed.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Lexus LS 430 2000-2006 is built specifically to change that. Lower the ride height using the correct bump stroke, reduce the body roll that makes a 2,850 mm wheelbase platform unpredictable mid-drift, and the XF30 stops fighting itself and starts behaving like a car you can actually steer with the throttle.

What this coilover does for your 2000-2006 Lexus LS 430 (XF30)

The XF30’s biggest obstacle in competitive drifting is what happens to the body during high-speed direction changes. The stock suspension’s compliance, designed to absorb road imperfections in comfort mode, produces lateral body movement that unloads the rear axle precisely when you need it planted. Fitting the Drift Spec stabilises the chassis under that lateral load, so the angle you set on entry holds rather than migrating as the weight shifts. With ride height properly adjusted, the geometry change also tightens the initial steering response – significant on a car whose 2,850 mm wheelbase makes it slower to rotate than the lightweight coupes usually seen in the drift paddock.

That matters particularly with the 3UZ-FE’s torque delivery. The LS 430 has no shortage of grunt to break traction, but without suspension that keeps the body controlled, wheelspin becomes impossible to read and manage consistently.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec range is engineered specifically for competition drifting rather than adapted from a road or track-day product. The design focus is on what happens during the drift itself: stabilising the vehicle body through high-speed turning so the driver can hold a consistent angle, rather than chasing ride comfort or road-noise attenuation. Setting the ride height correctly using the bump stroke is a deliberate part of the setup process – the geometry only reaches its intended condition once the car sits at the intended height, at which point the Drift Spec’s control character comes through. For the XF30, which leaves the factory with one of the most comfort-biased suspension calibrations ever fitted to a production car, the shift in character is substantial. The Drift Spec was developed against a single brief: maximum drift control performance.

Fitment for the Lexus LS 430 (XF30) (2000-2006)

This kit is confirmed for the Lexus LS 430 across the full XF30 production run from 2000 to 2006. The XF30 platform carries the same double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension architecture throughout the generation. Confirm your chassis code before ordering to ensure correct specification.

The XF30’s factory suspension was built to isolate, not to perform under lateral load – configure your Drift Spec kit below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
