XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Kia CARNIVAL KA4 2020-2026

The KA4-generation Carnival is a 2.1-tonne, three-row MPV riding on a long 3,090mm wheelbase, and that geometry dictates everything about how it behaves when you start asking suspension questions a people-carrier was never designed to answer. The Racing Spec coilover exists for the small population of owners building this platform into something genuinely unusual – a circuit support van, a time-attack tow vehicle, a custom-show flagship – where the factory MacPherson front and multi-link rear simply cannot carry the cornering loads being demanded of them.

This is the most aggressive damper in the XYZ Racing range and it is not a fast-road kit. The settings have been developed through direct participation in WTCC, and the calibration assumes the car will live on a circuit rather than a school run.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Kia Carnival KA4

On a vehicle this tall and this heavy, body roll is the dominant handling problem and the Racing Spec attacks it directly with race-derived spring rates and damping that refuses to let the chassis load up progressively. Turn-in becomes immediate rather than gradual, the front axle stops washing wide on long radius corners, and the rear stays planted instead of pitching forward under heavy braking from the KA4’s considerable mass. Ride height drops to give you the centre-of-gravity reduction that a tall body desperately needs on a circuit. Camber and corner-weight tuning become possible because the platform is now stiff enough to hold the geometry you set. The trade-off is honest – low-speed compliance disappears, and that is the point.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is purpose-developed for circuit use, with every setting derived from direct racing involvement including WTCC competition. Where the Top Sport and Super Sport ranges balance road manners against track ability, Racing Spec discards the compromise entirely and calibrates for repeat lap pace. Construction is built for the thermal and mechanical loads of a full race weekend rather than weekly road cycles. XYZ Racing will also build bespoke shocks for cars carrying aggressive upgrades – factory-style racing builds, A-class race vehicles, or anything outside the standard catalogue specification. Owners running heavily modified setups can submit details of their build and the circuit they intend to run, and XYZ Racing will configure dampers specifically for that combination.

Fitment for the Kia Carnival KA4 (2020-2026)

Engineered for the KA4-chassis Kia Carnival across the full 2020 to 2026 production run, covering the fourth-generation platform sold globally as Carnival and (in some markets) Sedona. Confirm your exact build year and any factory self-levelling rear suspension before ordering, as those configurations may require additional discussion.
