XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT3 RS 2016-2026

Hang a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six out behind the rear axle and point it at a gravel stage, and the 991 GT3 RS asks a very different question of its dampers than it ever does on a circuit. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover answers it with long-stroke, inverted-tube struts built to keep that rearward mass planted when the surface turns to sandstone, silt or snow.

This is the loose-surface specification, not a fast-road or track set. Spring rates and valving are configured for stage rally and rallycross, where ride height climbs, travel counts for more than outright stiffness, and the dampers take the full hit of a car launching off crests at speed.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2026 Porsche 991 GT3 RS

Fit these and the GT3 RS stops fighting the road and starts reading it. The long stroke lets the chassis breathe over ruts and compressions that would have a track coilover topping out, so the rear stays loaded and the car keeps drive on corner exit. Inverted-tube construction puts more metal where side loads peak, sharpening turn-in as the front bites through loose gravel. The extended spring travel soaks up the vibration that batters a stiffly sprung car on a rough stage, and the valving is built to swallow repeated high-G hits when you commit to a fast corner. The result is a Porsche 991 GT3 RS you can lean on over surfaces its standard track setup was never meant to touch.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally coilover is XYZ Racing’s loose-surface design, developed specifically for rally and rallycross rather than adapted from a tarmac kit. Of all the disciplines, rallycross throws the most aggressive surface at a car, which is exactly why the damper does the heavy lifting here. The inverted-tube layout was developed to cope with mixed going – sandstone, snow and silt each behave differently under a tyre, and the same strut has to read all of them. A deliberately long stroke and long spring give the travel needed to absorb chassis vibration, attack high-speed bouncy sections, and carry extreme cornering loads without the suspension running out of room. Every spring rate in the range was set and validated by XYZ Racing’s rally team, so the baseline you bolt on is a competition starting point rather than a guess.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT3 RS (2016-2026)

This kit is built for the 991-generation Porsche GT3 RS, covering the full 2016 to 2026 production span. It targets the RS chassis specifically rather than the wider 991 range, so the spring rates and strut dimensions are matched to the GT3 RS’s weight distribution and mounting points. Confirm your build year against the range above before configuring.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • OE (factory) mount top mountOE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
