XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES G87 M2 2023-2026

The G87 M2 arrived as the heaviest, stiffest, most circuit-focused two-door BMW M has built in a generation – and that mass, sat on a short wheelbase with 460bhp routed rearwards through an S58 that doesn’t tire, is exactly what overwhelms the factory adaptive dampers on a hot lap three of a Donington afternoon. The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s answer to that specific problem: a coilover built for sustained circuit lap-time work, not the fast-road compromise the OEM setup tries to split.

Where the standard M2’s suspension is asked to do everything from school run to Hockenheim, this kit picks one job and commits to it. Damping force, rebound and compression are all individually controlled, and the construction is designed around the heat cycles a 1,725kg M car generates lap after lap on a hot circuit.

What this coilover does for your 2023-2026 Bmw 2 Series G87 M2

Fitted to the G87, the Circuit Master changes the chassis from a fast point-to-point road car into a circuit weapon you can read corner by corner. The S58’s mid-range shove no longer overwhelms the rear axle on power-down out of slow corners, because compression damping is set independently of how the car rides over kerbs. Trail-braking into a long right-hander – the kind of phase the G87’s wide front track punishes a soft setup for – becomes a measured, repeatable event rather than a guess at how much front end the OEM dampers will give you.

The 9720 adjustment combinations available through the three knobs mean you can run one base setting for Cadwell, another for Spa, another for a wet session at Snetterton, and recover each by indexed clicks rather than memory. Body control under sustained load improves most noticeably – that’s where the factory adaptive setup runs out of damper authority on a hot car.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s competition-tier damper, sitting alongside their Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes. It has been developed and validated by XYZ racing teams on international circuits over an extended test cycle, with the specific brief of producing podium results in series competition rather than catalogue-friendly numbers.

The headline figure is 9720 ways of adjustment, accessed through three separate knobs that decouple bump, rebound and a third damping characteristic so the chassis engineer – or the owner reading a data trace in the paddock – can address one behaviour without disturbing the others. The valving uses a small oil-hole passage that maximises damper precision on smooth tarmac; a side-effect is that across larger road bumps you may hear oil moving through the restricted passage, which is normal and inherent to the design brief. This is a circuit damper. It rewards smooth surfaces and is not pretending to be a comfort coilover.

Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series G87 M2 (2023-2026)

This kit is specified for the G87 chassis M2 coupe, 2023 through 2026 model years, with the S58 inline-six and standard M2 hardware. Confirm your chassis code reads G87 on the VIN plate before ordering – this is M2-specific and will not transfer to the M240i (G42) or to the F87-generation car.
