The complete factory tool kit for installing, setting up, and living with XYZ Racing coilovers. These are the same tools used on the XYZ production line — sized for XYZ’s collars, spring seats and damping adjusters, and supplied together as one kit so nothing is missing on installation day.
What the kit is for
Every XYZ coilover is adjusted mechanically: ride height and spring preload are set by turning threaded collars on the damper body, and damping is tuned with a click adjuster on each unit. None of that is done properly with ordinary garage tools — the collars need correctly sized C-spanners and clamp wrenches (grips or an adjustable pin wrench will mark the anodised finish and can round the collar lugs), and on many cars the damping adjuster sits buried in the strut tower or under boot trim where fingers cannot reach. This kit covers all of it.
What’s included
- 2 × C-Spanner (SP78) — the main adjustment tool: turns the spring-seat and ride-height locking collars. Two are supplied so you can counter-hold one collar while breaking the other loose.
- 2 × Flat Spanner (SP79) — thin open spanner for the locking collars in spots where a C-spanner cannot seat.
- 2 × Band Clamp Wrench (SP80) — band-type wrench that grips collars firmly without marking the anodised finish.
- 4 × Damping Adjuster Extension Rod (SP81) — one per corner: reaches the damping click-adjuster in tight installations (deep strut towers, under boot floors) and can be left fitted for trackside adjustment.
- 4 × Adjuster Extension Nut (SP82) — one per corner: the hex coupling that connects each extension rod to the damping adjuster.

- Installation — setting initial ride height and spring preload, then locking every collar to spec.
- Height and balance changes — seasonal ride-height changes, corner-weighting, or per-event setup.
- Damping tuning — with the extension rods fitted, clicks can be changed in seconds without jacking the car or removing trim.
